Awesome starter combo!
I bought this for my wife to use because I took her once and she enjoyed it enough to get her own rod. She wanted a shorter rod to pack for camping as well. This combo coming in at $40CAD with some lures was perfect! The only lure I thought good enough in the pack was the grub and offset spinner. I put it together for her, cast about 7 times in the campsite, then handed it over. She takes her first cast and lands a 3lbs Northern Pike! She was "hooked" ever since and not only that, absolutely committed to that lure! Over two years in now, she's replaced that grub about 7 times since and she's landed all sorts of species off that one lure! Pike, Bass, Black Crappie, Channel Catfish, Perch, Fallfish, Walleye, Sauger, Pumpkin Seed all on one lure provided by Ugly Stik in the pack. Unbelievable! Both of us are lifetime Ugly Stik users!

Four stars just so I can be passive aggressive. I wish I could find this exact combo in a 4'6" single piece ultra light rod. As it is, still a great combo. Can't beat an Ugly Stick!
